The question of utopia, technology and epistomology is crucial for an understanding of Synthetic Biology. I am just working on a longer chapter on the 'economy of technoscience and engineering promises and wishes within Synthetic Biology discourse' (and what pictures of technology, media and society are driving the representation and knowledge production in the field). Just think about George Churchs book "Regenisis. How Synthetic Biology will Reinvent Nature and Ourselves." :D

So it would be a great honor to take "a more active role" in this session.

Furthermore it would be interesting to discuss what analysis of Synthetic Biology utopia we could draw from the perspective of the Posthumanities and Nonhuman.
