Poll & discussion: Travel to ISHPSSB

Hello,

Like many of us, I'll be traveling to ISH after our week comes to an end. Does anyone have any suggestions as to the best/most economical means of getting from Naples up to Montpelier? Would there be any benefits from trying to coordinate transport?

So, let's see who goes how.

I'm going by train from Paris, but I'm not at Ischia.

Robin, I just booked myself on the long but most direct (and possible cheapest) way, which is the bus from Naples to Montpellier (via Marseilles). At least I think I booked myself but have not gotten a confirmation yet. If you decide to go this route and do book a ticket, would you let me know if you got a receipt or any indication that the ticket was booked?

I ended up going by Train to Rome, and flying to Marseille-- I hope the bus ride is smooth!

Robin, I'll be doing the same — 11a train from Naples to Rome, then the 2:55p flight to Ish.

Naples-Nice (air)
Nice-Montpellier (train)

For readability... 11 people responded: 2 chose "I'm not going!", 1 went by (3) train(s), 4 flew Rome-Marseille (plus first train and coach at end), 1 flew Naples-Barcelona (plus coach on the end), 1 went all the way by Eurolines coach (26h?), 2 said "other" and would have described it in this topic (that would be flying Naples-Nice). Nobody chose the flight Naples-Paris (+TGV).
